I'm a psychoanalyst, psychotherapist, meditation teacher, and clinical supervisor.
My work is grounded at the intersection of psychodynamic and meditation-based approaches to health and healing. This means I adapt my psychotherapy and meditational services to best support your unique, personal path in whatever ways help you most. I know our capacity for joy, peace, healing, awareness, and change to be nearly infinite -- provided we have a strong desire and the right support. Both psychoanalytic psychotherapy and meditation, offered responsibly and empathically, can be exactly that support. I'd love to join you on your journey. |

Services
I offer the following services, individually or combined:
Psychoanalysis + Psychotherapy
I'm a licensed psychoanalytic psychotherapist (LCSW-R) working with individuals and couples. My psychoanalytic training is eclectic, drawing from multiple modalities, and making me adept at working with a range of traditional concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and end-of-life themes (such as mourning, pregnancy loss, and the dying process).
My particular specialization is nuanced work with high achievers, meditators, and creative professionals. That said, I believe the most important part of any effective treatment is the client-therapist alliance. If you instinctively suspect we'd be a good fit, you're probably right. NOTE TO PSYCHOTHERAPY CLIENTS: Per the No Surprises Act of 2021, you have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges prior to receiving services. "And then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." |
Meditation Instruction + Consultation
I'm also a certified meditation teacher with a decades-long personal practice and thorough training in a range of meditation traditions and techniques. My combined interest in psychology and meditation has led to a deep study of meditation mind-types and the different effects of various meditation techniques both on the brain generally, and in interaction with specific mental health conditions. While non-personalized group instruction and apps can be effective, not every meditation technique is appropriate for every person or group. This is where I come in.
I offer highly individualized meditation support and instruction to individuals who may be experiencing difficulty with their current practice, or who are interested in developing, honing, or deepening a personalized meditation practice. I also provide case consultations to meditation teachers whose students have encountered difficulty. Meditation can be an incredibly powerful and effective tool. I'm here to help you use it frictionlessly. |
Clinical Supervision
+ Courses As a SIFI-trained clinical supervisor, it's my passion and pride to offer clinical supervision to other mental health practitioners. As with my psychodynamic and meditation work, I believe the most supportive supervision draws from the modalities and perspectives that best serve you and your work. My psychoanalytic training and many years of private practice allow me to draw from a range of approaches, supplementing your work with tools tailored both to your clinical preferences and to your client's specific needs.
In addition to private supervision, I also offer small group supervision (up to 5 clinicians) and direct a one-year psychodynamic training program for mental health clinicians. |
